Simple command to change the permission of all the folders or directories recursively in linux

find . -type d -exec chmod 775 {} \;

The above command will find all the folders recursively change the permission of all the directories to 775 since we have given the switch -type as d.

For example if you run this command under
/var/www

All the directories inside /var/www path will have the permission set to 775

Replace . after find with any location of your choice.
